About

The Full Story

Becoming a Yoga Teacher happens over time and evolves through your dedication to practice, teaching, growth and constant learning.

I am not yet arrived, I am learning, practicing and growing. Every day, I move a little further along the path of becoming a Yoga Teacher.

My Yoga Journey began in a place of struggle. As the world was facing intermitted lockdowns, my mental health started to decline. At that time I was practicing every single day and when I was on the mat I was feeling great, when off the mat totally the opposite. I started notice the big shift and I never stop practicing since that time. Yoga is very a deep intropespective practice and it's sad to see that there are still people doing it just for the body.

It's a practice that for sure change the body, but first changes your mind.

From the moment I started my very first 200 hours Teacher Training in 2021 I never stopped learning, studying, diving into the details of this Practice, in a multidimensional way. Interrogating this Practice not only with one teacher/one method/one view but with different perspectives. Always asking what resonates with me better, with the desire to give to my students a little bit more than I received as a student back in the years.

I strongly believe that before a teacher I’m a dedicated student and a devoted practitioner. I’m constantly investing all my finances and time (while not teaching) in teaching programs, workshops or international conference to keep my teaching fresh, up to date, and interesting for my students and above all, my mind open and uplifted.

At the beginning of 2022 I found by accident an online course about Yoga and Physiology led by Eddie Stern and Dr. Alexandra Seidenstein at the NYU. Not only, I loved the course so much, but it opened many ways for me. Through this I got the opportuniy to better know Eddie's teaching, read his book, participate in many talks and online events/workshop organized by Broome Street Yoga with worlwide renowed Yoga teachers and authors, start practicing remotly with Eddie. He rapidly became my mentor.

At first, I hadn't even realize it was happening. There was just something about the way he taught, the way he spoke. There was something about Yoga Sangraha that â€‹ hooked me completely. As I was coming from a different place where vigorous and strenous were the key words, I found myself again with a Practice that is gentle but still effective, calm but still energizing. A Practice that nourish and balance  my nervous system and let me stronger than ever, mentally and physically.

Without noticing, my own voice and teaching began to change. I found myself echoing his words, even his pauses. My classrooms felt different: lighter, more strucured, but still open and alive. Students noticed.

It wasn't imitation. It was more like his approach has seeped in me, reshaping my way of teaching.

When I learned he was leading the first Yoga Sangraha Teacher Training in New York City, I applied right away. It felt like the natural next step, a chance to understand his approach more deeply.

Those days were intense and transfomative, surrounded by others humans who shared the same passion.

Now, when I am teaching, I often find myself drawing on his example: the way he explains, the way he encourages, the calm confidence he brings to every moment. His influence continues to guide me, quietly shaping the teacher I'm still becoming. One day at the time.

Yoga Sangraha is not a new type of Yoga. Sangraha means "a collection" or "compendium". A collection of postures and pranayama strategically putted together for calm, integrate, energize, and ground yourself.

The practices come from the larger Hatha Yoga tradition, and not from any other lineage.

These sequences have been developed by Eddie, drawing from experimentation, study, exploration of classical Hatha Yoga, science, physiology and texts.

I stongly belive that a  Yoga class should not be a torture session, where you feel frustated and overwhelmed but a place for growth, a space of awarness, an opportunity to listen to your body, to feel your body, experience the body, get the message.

It is said that you decide what you want in your field of awarness. I want this.
